Finding True Love on the Net?
I've been using the Internet 24/7 and I always read a lot of love stories from my friends finding true love, yes, true love, just exchanging emails and chatting for hours. Does it really work? They say that when it comes to love, fate is a thing of the past. Do you think it's true? Looks like Cupid has tapped into a higher level of a love connection... the Internet. Not only can we buy cool stuff online but we can also find our future husband/wife or even our soul mate. Dang! That's progress! These days, people are turning to online communication services like Skype or Yahoo Messenger which allow users to talk for free over the Internet. They integrate video and voice through the Internet to make the connection more valuable and accessible to users, a software that allows users to "matchmake" their ways into an online dating community. So does it really work? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe for some it's their last refuge for being sad, mad and dysfunctional. Or maybe some of them just got lucky while some of them got really unlucky because some of the people just put their best foot forward, often posting the best (sometimes doctored) picture of themselves as well as the most interesting details about themselves. But in the flesh, they often turn out to be, well, disappointing. |
